Over 3 years experience in management of all cases related to Medical Retina Has
performed over 1000 LASER procedures including PDT and ROP laser Given over 100
intra-vitreal injections (including Triamcinalone, Avastin, Lucentis and Macugen)
Is experienced in handling cases related to ocular oncology
Has also undergone a short-term training in diagnosis and management of uveal diseases
a part of retinal fellowship programme under Dr. Jyotirmav Biswas, Sankara Nethralaya

RESEARCH EXPERIENCE:

Has been actively involved in the community based epidemiology project on Diabetic
Retinopathy funded by the World Diabetic Foundation both at Aravind Eye Hospital
and at Sankara Nethralaya Has been a co-investigator in the Alimera Study (evaluating
intra-vitreal steroid for diabetic macular oedema) at Aravind Eye Hospital.
Has been a part of the Silicone Oil Study, a prospective study of over 1000 patients
funded by Medical Research Foundation to investigate risk factors of Silicone oil
emulsification (Sankara Nethralaya).
Has contributed to a prospective study on patient comfort and ophthalmic anaesthesia
using psycho-physical parameters (Sankara Nethralaya)
Has been involved in numerous retrospective case series analyses.
Has participated in a number of national and international conferences.
Recently received the Third prize in the Quiz competition at the AIOS conference
held at Bangalore in January, 2008
